License of medical store suspended
Kondagaon. Continuous inspection of medical stores is being done by the Food and Drug Administration team as per the instructions of collector Deepak Soni for quality check of medicines and maintenance of purchase and sale documents as per rules. For which, under the guidance of Deputy Director Food and Drug Administration Dr. RK Singh, a surprise inspection of the Shantihari Medical Store operated in Borgaon was conducted by the Department of Medicine. During the inspection, all the necessary documents were checked for running the medical store. Irregularities were found under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act 1940 and Rules 1945 in the inspection of the medical store by the drug inspector. Bill book and Schedule H-1 register were not maintained in the firm as per rules. The pharmacist was also found absent on the spot. For which a show cause notice was issued to the operator of the firm, but the reply of the operator of the firm was not satisfactory, the Drug Licensing Authority has suspended the drug license of the firm for seven days considering this act as serious negligence.
Similarly, samples of Sitagliptin used in the treatment of diabetes from Siddhi Vinayak Medical Stores operated in Kondagaon city were sent to the State Drug Testing Laboratory, Raipur for quality testing. On the other hand, 02 medical stores Shri Krishna Medical Stores Dhanora and Chhattisgarh Medicos Makdi were found to have irregularities in the inspection and the drug license of the firm has been suspended for seven-seven days after the reply to the show cause notice was not found satisfactory. During this, Drug Inspector Sukhchoun Singh Dhurve told that all the medical operators should be given purchase and sale documents and Schedule H-1 register by the drug department, according to the rules, and drugs like narcotics and psychotropic drugs, MTP kits, without the prescription of a registered doctor. Instructions have been given not to sell.
