Union Home Minister Amit Shah praised the Jammu and Kashmir Police
Srinagar (IANS). Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday lauded the integrity, honesty, valor and devotion of the Jammu and Kashmir Police for working under the most challenging conditions.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s praise for the Jammu and Kashmir Police is nothing less than a medal of honour. Shah lauded the local police for meeting the challenges of the times and the vagaries of nature.
The Union Home Minister wrote in his tweet- “True valor lies in our acts of honor and honesty which leave an indelible mark on our lives.”
He said, “This adage has been proved right by ASI Darshan Kumar and HC Satpal of Jammu and Kashmir Police. They found a bag containing Rs 80,000, mobile phone and travel documents. They traced its owner and handed it over to him. I appreciate him for being an example of honesty.
He also lauded the personnel of the J&K Police Disaster Response Wing, which he said “the NDRF and the SDRF have always stood in the service of the nation and humanity against all odds. They have been instrumental in fulfilling our goal of providing a safe Amarnath Yatra to every pilgrim.
He said, a picture is being shared of an SDRF jawan carrying a woman traveler on his back for 3 km through the difficult terrain of the Himalayas while returning from the holy pilgrimage. I appreciate him for being a symbol of the safety of the citizens.
He further said, meeting the challenges of terrorism and maintaining law and order in most difficult times has become the hallmark of the local police. The untiring efforts of the police to bring peace in Jammu and Kashmir has become an example for the police forces in other parts of the country. The Army and the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) are playing a vital role in controlling terrorism, working in perfect coordination.
