Doctors remain missing from duty, there was uproar again in the district hospital

Bilaspur. On the afternoon of July 11, near the Lalkhadan gate, a child had died after being run over by a train. His body was brought to the district hospital for postmortem. Even after 24 hours, when the post-mortem of the dead body was not done, the family members lost their patience and after that they created a ruckus. After this, Civil Surgeon Dr. Anil Gupta came out of his cabin and while putting pressure on the relatives, instructed them not to create ruckus in the hospital premises. After half an hour of debate, the matter was resolved. Nisha Madhukar, a resident of Ghuru, jumped in front of the goods train along with her 6-year-old son Devansh near Lalkhadan gate after a dispute with her husband on Tuesday. Innocent Devansh died in this incident and the woman was seriously injured after colliding with the train. The police had sent the body of the child to the district hospital for postmortem. Here the dead body of the child was kept in the mortuary. According to the law, his post-mortem was to be done immediately and the dead body of the child was to be handed over to the family members who reached the hospital.

But due to the negligence of the hospital management, the post-mortem was delayed. On the second day i.e. Wednesday also, when the post-mortem was not done till noon, the family members got angry and started creating ruckus. During this, he also had an argument with the civil surgeon Dr. Gupta. Some policemen were also present on the spot, who did not try to convince anyone. The matter was settled with great difficulty.

This is not the first case of uproar over the delay in post-mortem of the child’s death. Even before this, there is ruckus in the district hospital every day due to the absence of doctors and sometimes the patients do not get treatment. Due to the investigation and treatment and factionalism among doctors is increasing. A few days ago, the junior doctors of the civil surgeon here have also complained to the collector alleging discrimination between seniors and juniors in duty.
