Rape accused was hiding in Raipur, Raigad police caught from Sundernagar

Raigarh. Chakradharnagar police arrested Himashu Pradhan father Arun Pradhan, aged about 22, resident of Deendayal Colony, Raigarh, from Sundernagar area of Raipur today and sent on remand under POCSO Act, accused of raping a teenage girl. An application was given by the victim girl regarding the incident of rape against the accused Himashu Pradhan in police station Supela district Durg that in December 2019, the accused seduced her and took her to the medical college road forest under police station Chakradharnagar area and had rape. Due to the fear of public shame, the incident was not told to anyone at that time, after that Himashu Pradhan again came in contact through social media and started physically abusing him by threatening to discredit the incident of reconciliation between the two.

On the application of the girl, after registering the crime of rape including Supela Police POCSO Act, the crime diary was sent to Chakradharnagar police station for advance investigation. On June 24, the Chakradharnagar police established the original crime and traced the accused, who was hiding in fear of arrest. Station in-charge Chakradharnagar Inspector Prashant Rao Aher got the mobile details of the accused extracted from the cyber cell by appointing an informer to give information about the accused. In the past, on the information of the accused being in Sundernagar, Raipur, TI Chakradharnagar immediately prepared a police team and sent it to Raipur on the instructions of the Senior Superintendent of Police, by whom the accused was taken into custody and brought to Raigarh, who was arrested today under the POCSO Act and sent to jail after remand. Jail has been lodged on the warrant.
