17 people died due to lightning in Bihar, Nitish Kumar expressed grief
Patna (ISNS). The incidents of lightning have also increased amid the rains in Bihar. People are also dying due to being hit by lightning. During the last 24 hours, 17 people died in 11 districts of the state due to lightning.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expressed deep condolences and has announced an ex-gratia grant of Rs 4 lakh each to the dependents of the deceased without delay.
According to the Disaster Management Department, during the last 24 hours, 17 people died due to lightning in the state, in which five people died in Rohtas district. Apart from this, two people each died in Aurangabad and Buxar and one person each in Arwal, Kishanganj, Kaimur, Vaishali, Siwan, Patna, Araria and Saran.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expressed deep condolences on this. The Chief Minister said that he is with the affected families in this hour of calamity. The Chief Minister has given instructions to give ex-gratia grant of Rs 4 lakh each to the relatives of the deceased without delay. The Chief Minister has appealed that all people should take full vigilance in bad weather. In case of bad weather, follow the suggestions issued from time to time by the Disaster Management Department to avoid lightning. Stay indoors and stay safe during bad weather.
