Infiltration bid foiled on LoC in Jammu and Kashmir

Jammu: In a joint operation along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch sector, the army and police foiled an infiltration bid on Monday. The officers provided this information. According to sources, this operation was carried out on the basis of intelligence. “An infiltration attempt was foiled in General Area Poonch this morning and a joint operation by the Indian Army and J&K Police is underway,” the Army said. Meanwhile, Defense Ministry spokesman Lt Col Sunil Bartwal said that additional searches were also underway in the area.
