Government launched ‘Bharat Dal’ at Rs 60 per kg

After the rising prices of onions and tomatoes, now the government is in action mode to control the prices of pulses as well. The Union Food Ministry has decided to sell chana dal in the country at a subsidized price. The government has decided to sell Chana Dal in the market under the name of ‘Bharat Dal’ at a lower price. In this, the government will save gram pulses at the rate of Rs 60 per kg. While the package of 30 kg will be sold at the rate of Rs 55 per kg. Significantly, Chana Dal is being sold by NAFED at a low price in Delhi-NCR. Apart from this, Bharat Dal will also be sold at successful centers of NCCF, Kendriya Bhandar and Mother Dairy.
Cheap pulses will be sold at these shops across the country
Giving information on this matter, Union Consumer Food and Public Distribution Minister Piyush Goyal has said that cheap gram pulses will be sold in the country under the brand name of Bharat Dal. In this, the government will provide cheap gram pulses to the common people. This pulse will be sold at 703 Nafed stores across the country. The government is engaged in the exercise of giving relief to the customers by converting the stock of gram lying with it into gram dal.
Chickpea is widely consumed
Chana dal is the most produced pulse in India. People consume gram dal from morning breakfast till dinner. Apart from this, gram flour is made from this pulse, which is used in making snacks, snacks and sweets. In such a situation, it is consumed on a large scale in all the states from north to south.
Significantly, before Chana Dal, the government has decided to sell tomatoes at cheaper rates in view of the rising prices of tomatoes. Cheap tomatoes are being sold in Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan. At the same time, NAFED is also selling tomatoes at subsidized rates in many states including Bihar, West Bengal.
