Liquor shop employees assault Congress leader, arrested
Palari. The employees of the country liquor shop showed arrogance when the Congress leader asked for the rate. Asking “Why do you sell liquor more than the prescribed price” cost the Congress leader dearly. After which the dispute increased between them and the salesmen and employees of the shop attacked the Congress leader and his associates with sticks. In fact, this matter pertains to the country liquor shop of Tipavan village, Palari, on Tuesday afternoon. However, after arresting the accused, the police have sent them on judicial remand.
Let us inform that the sarpanch representative of Tipawan village of Palari block and Block Congress Vice President Basant Jangde along with his villagers reached the local country liquor shop at 2 pm on Tuesday, where they had an argument with the employees of the liquor shop regarding the over-rate. A dispute took place on which the employees of the liquor shop got together and hurled abuses and ran for more than 200 meters with sticks and thrashed, causing serious injuries to the Congress leader and his colleagues.
After this incident, Congress Block Vice President Basant Jangde lodged a report at Palari police station. On which the employee of the liquor shop and five of his associates were arrested in Police Station Palari by registering a case of rioting and assault. A complaint was filed against the employees in the police station and they were arrested. After which he has been produced in the court. However, the police are engaged in further proceedings.
