Travel by Bharat Gaurav tourism train in pilgrimage scheme of Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal: Pilgrims of Mukhyamantri Teerth-Darshan Yojana in Madhya Pradesh will now travel to various religious places by Bharat Gaurav tourism train. Additional Chief Secretary, Home, Religious Trust and Endowment, Dr. Rajesh Rajoura told that between August 2 and October 10, 18 thousand 480 pilgrims of the state will go on religious pilgrimage in 29 groups.
During this period, pilgrims will visit Rameshwaram, Dwarka, Kashi (Varanasi), Jagannathpuri, Ayodhya, Haridwar, Amritsar, Kamakhya, Shirdi, Nagpur, the initiation land of Babasaheb Dr. Ambedkar. The number of pilgrims going for pilgrimage from different districts of the state has been fixed. Pilgrims from the respective districts will be able to go only according to the prescribed number. If more applications are received, the passengers will be selected through a computerized lottery.

Along with the pilgrims, government officers-employees and doctors and security personnel will also go as assistants and escorts. The responsibility of managing pilgrimages for the state government has been entrusted to the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC). ACS Dr. Rajoura told that on August 2, pilgrims will leave for Rameshwaram and Dwarka by Bharat Gaurav tourism train. 85 pilgrims will leave for Rameswaram from Dhar, 85 from Shajapur, 150 from Narmadapuram and 300 from Indore.

For Dwarka, 150 pilgrims from Seoni, 92 from Balaghat, 150 from Chhindwara and 150 from Betul will be able to apply till July 24. The pilgrimage train to Rameshwaram and the journey train to Dwarka will leave from Seoni on August 2. ACS Dr. Rajoura told that in the district headquarters where the train does not have stoppages, the respective district collectors will make arrangements to bring and take the pilgrims to the boarding station.
