Truck driver died by drowning in the drain

Korba. Sonu Yadav (32 years), working in PIRL, a contract company engaged in coal dispatch work in Kusmunda mine of the district, died by drowning in a drain. Sonu was a resident of Barampur and was a truck driver in the company. The case is of Kusmunda police station area.

According to the information, Sonu Yadav was returning home from Kusmunda mine at around 10 pm after finishing his duty, during which he along with the bike fell into the drain made for water drainage near the new E&M office. It was night time, so there were not many people there. In such a situation, he remained immersed in the drain for a long time. He was immediately pulled out when passers-by saw him, but by then he had already died. Thinking that he was unconscious, people took him to SECL Hospital in Kusmunda, where after investigation, the doctor declared him dead. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and conducted the postmortem of his dead body.
