2 interstate accused arrested for carrying out theft incident in deserted house
Raipur. Two inter-state accused have been arrested for carrying out the incident of theft in a deserted house under Amanaka police station area. According to the information, Alok Patel lodged a report in the police station Amanaka that he lives in Harshit Ratna Agrasen Bhawan Tatibandh and works in Mumbai in a Government of India undertaking. The applicant came to Raipur on 06.05.23, after staying for a few days, went to Mumbai on 19.05.2023 by locking the house with the applicant’s family. On 21.06.2023, the applicant came to know from his neighbor that the lock of his house was broken and the lady of the applicant’s house told that there was a theft in the house. On information, when the applicant reached home on 21.06.23, he found that the lock of the door of the house was broken, went inside and checked the rooms, the goods were spread, the lock of the almirahs was broken and there was no gold-silver jewelery and cash kept in it. An unknown thief had entered the house by breaking the lock of the house after listening to the applicant, breaking the lock of the almirahs and stealing Mashruka kept in it and escaped. On which crime number 261/23 section 457, 380 Bhadvi was registered against the unknown accused in police station Amanaka. Offense was registered.
On which, under the direction of senior officers, a joint team of Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit and Thana Amanaka Police, after making detailed inquiries from the nearby people including the applicant regarding the incident, inspected the spot and started locating the unknown accused. CCTV installed at the scene of the incident and its surroundings. Along with observing the footage of the cameras, along with interrogating the employees working in the house, information was also being collected and verified in relation to the employees who had left the work in the past. Informers were also engaged in the case to trace the unknown accused. Based on the modus operandi, the said incident of theft seemed to be carried out by an external gang, on which the team members started working focusing on the external gang. Efforts were also being made by the team members to identify the unknown accused through technical analysis. Meanwhile, the team members received important information regarding the unknown accused involved in the incident and the presence of the accused was found to be in South 24 Parganas of West Bengal. On which the team members were sent to South 24 Parganas of West Bengal under the direction of senior officials. The team members reached South 24 Parganas and camped continuously to find out the accused, during which the team members arrested Khurshid Khan, the accused involved in the case. On the basis of the evidence obtained, after strictly interrogating the accused Khurshid Khan, he along with his other accomplices Sheikh Altaf and Rabiul Qazi alias Naikro, along with carrying out the said incident of theft, did recee before committing the theft and accused Rabiul Qazi alias Naikro was told to be in Orissa. On which the team members left for Odisha while tracing the accused Rabiul Qazi alias Naikro, the accused Rabiul Qazi alias Naikro was caught from Odisha.
After arresting both the accused, two pairs of stolen silver anklets and Rs.7,000/- in cash and the ala jarb used in the incident were seized from their possession. On enquiry, regarding the theft of other Mashruka, he was told to abscond to Bangladesh with gold and silver ornaments by Sheikh Altaf, the other accused involved in the case. Sheikh Altaf, the accused involved in the case is absconding, every possible effort is being made to trace him and arrest him. Both the accused have been arrested and action has been taken against them.
