4 smugglers smuggling tiger skin arrested from forest
Kondagaon. Cyber cell and Bayanar police have arrested 4 tiger skin smugglers from Temru village forest. On Thursday, through cyber cell Kondagaon, information was received from the informer that 4 persons kept tiger skin in a blue colored polythene in their bike near Temru village under Bayanar area. Which they are looking for customers to sell.
The Superintendent of Police was informed about the matter. On which necessary guidelines were given to the cyber cell and police station Bayanar to take joint action. While taking joint action, 4 people riding in 2 bikes were caught near village Temru forest. On searching, a tiger skin was found inside the polythene in his possession. Tiger’s teeth and remains were found in the second polythene.
On asking the name and address of the accused, all four told their names as Karuram Gota, Sonu Ram Kumeti Deuram Usendi, Lakhmu Dhruv. All the four accused were residents of Orchha in Narayanpur. On interrogation, the accused accepted to wait for the customer to sell the skin and remains of the tiger. Skin, teeth (estimated price Rs 20 lakh), two bikes and 4 mobiles used in the incident have been seized from the possession of the accused.
