Mobile found with undertrial prisoner in district jail, case registered
Hanumangarh. A mobile phone has been recovered from an undertrial prisoner during the search of Security Ward Barrack by the staff of Hanumangarh District Jail. The jail administration handed over the mobile phone, SIM and charging cable to the junction police and got a case registered against the prisoner. ASI Krishnalal said that Vikas Kumar (37), son of Neman Das, resident of Ward 30, New Population, Hanumangarh Town, Chief Warden of District Jail, gave a written report that between 8.15 pm and 9 pm, the jail staff raided the barracks of the security ward. A thorough search was conducted in No. 2. During the search, a mobile phone was recovered from undertrial prisoner Vinod Kumar alias Dara s/o Chhoturam in Barrack No. 2. The sim was inserted in it. Along with this, a white colored charging data cable was also found. Mobile phone, SIM and charging cable recovered from prisoner Vinod Kumar. Police has registered a case against the undertrial prisoner under the Prison Act and handed over the investigation to ASI Krishnalal. Avatar Singh’s son Darshan Singh of Manaksar has filed a case of wheat theft. Told the police that Karnail Singh and 2 others entered his house in the afternoon. They picked up 2 bags of wheat to steal. On coming to know, they caught Karnail Singh and 2 others fled from there. He told the police that 4 bags of mustard and 2 bags of wheat had been stolen from the people of the village. Which these people have stolen. Police registered a case of theft and handed over its investigation to ASI Jaiveer Singh. The police arrested Harbansh Singh alias Jhota, a resident of Beharwala Kalan, along with 600 grams of poppy straw. SHO Lal Bahadur Chandra, Baljit Singh, Tarsem Singh, Sandeep Kumar, Krishna Kumar searched a youth of Beharwala Kalan on suspicion during patrolling. 600 grams of poppy straw was recovered from his possession.
