Corporation confiscated 17 stalls, fierce controversy
Bilaspur. During the removal of encroachment, there was fierce controversy in Shanichari. There was a scuffle too. A complaint has been lodged by the corporation against two handcart owners in the city police station. The encroachment branch team seized 17 handcarts for obstructing the road.
The corporation has declared Bilasa and Balmiki Chowk of Shanichari as no-vending zone, despite this, carts are set up here. Due to this traffic is disrupted. The corporation’s team is taking action here, even after that there is no relief. Those who set up carts here do not have their own carts. Most of the people work for livelihood. The cart owner is someone else. Some have 15 and some have 20 carts. Some are running handcarts on rent and some have hired laborers for their livelihood.
Due to the busy cart, there is a jam here. When the encroachment branch’s team reached for action on Saturday, the cart owners came and started arguing with the encroachment squad. As soon as the team left, they came on the road, then after the action, as soon as the team returned from here, the carters again came here and froze. Due to this, the traffic system deteriorated again in the evening. Even after continuous action here, the same situation remains everyday.
