Although there are many fasting festivals dedicated to Shiva worship in Hinduism, but Sawan Monday has its own importance, today is the third Monday of Sawan, which is considered the best day to please Bholenath. On this day, devotees worship Bhole Baba according to their rituals and keep a day-long fast to please him. Method of worshiping Shiva
Let us tell you that on the third Monday of the month of Sawan, get up early in the morning and take bath etc., after that wear clean clothes. Make a resolution to fast. After this go to home or temple and worship Shiva. For worship, anoint the Lord with Ganges water, milk, Panchamrit etc. on the Shivling.
After this, apply sandalwood paste, now offer Belpatra, Dhatura, hemp, flowers, Akshat etc. and offer food to Shiva. After this perform the aarti of Bholenath. Do recite Shiv Chalisa, Mantra etc. on Sawan Monday. Then worship Shiva in the evening and perform aarti.
