Farmers can get insurance under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana till 31st July
The state government has issued the notification of crop insurance for Kharif 2023. Agriculture Insurance Company of India Ltd. to insure crops in Kharif 2023 in the district. has been authorized.
Joint Director Agriculture Extension Radheshyam Narwal said that the farmers of the district can get insurance for Kharif crops under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana till July 31, 2023. He told that millet, groundnut, guar, moong, moth, sesame, and jowar are a total of seven crops in the kharif crop and castor, pomegranate, and date have been added for Jaisalmer district in the reorganized weather-based kharif 2023.
He told that for Kharif 2022, the premium amount (2 percent of the insured amount) and the insured amount for millet is 5052 insured amount per hectare and 101.04 premium amount per hectare, for groundnut 98966 insured amount per hectare and 1979.32 premium amount per hectare, for guar 10609 insured amount per hectare and 2 12.18 premium amount per hectare, 29839 premium amount per hectare for moong and 596.78 premium amount per hectare, 19366 premium amount per hectare for moth and 387.32 premium amount per hectare, 21235 premium amount per hectare for sesame and 424.7 premium amount per hectare and 22461 premium amount per hectare for jowar hectare and 449.22 premium amount per hectare.
Joint Director Narwal said that if the farmer wants to make changes in the crop sown by July 29, 2023, then he must give the details of the actual sowing in the bank and add his Aadhaar card to his bank account.
Narwal said that non-loanee farmers can get insurance for Kharif crops through BAB till July 31, 2023. For this, it is mandatory to have Aadhaar card, self-attested latest Jamabandi copy, self-attested sowing certificate and bank passbook certified by the branch in which the name of the bank branch, account number, name of the bank account holder should be clearly mentioned. In case of being a sharecropper farmer, the sharecropper farmer will submit an affidavit containing the land details of the farmer and it will be mandatory for the sharecropper farmer to submit a copy of their own attested Aadhaar card and original residence certificate of Rajasthan and both the farmers.
He informed that 2 percent of the total insured amount has been fixed for farmers to get insurance for Kharif crops and 5 percent for castor insured per hectare, 38006 per hectare for castor, 170000 per hectare for date, 103664 per hectare for pomegranate in reorganized weather-based kharif.
District Collector Ashish Gupta has called upon the farmers of the district to ensure that maximum number of farmers get their crops insured and take advantage of the scheme in case of local calamities.
Radheshyam Narwal Joint Director Agriculture said that along with Bajra, Groundnut, Guar, Moong, Moth, Sesame and Jowar, castor, pomegranate and dates are also being insured for the district this year. Farmers can get insurance for Kharif crop till 31st July.
