One arrested for making derogatory remarks on Lord Ram
Baghpat (IANS). Khekra police station of Baghpat district of UP has arrested a person for making controversial and derogatory remarks on Lord Shri Ram of Hindu religion. Police said that the sentiments of Hindus have been hurt by the Facebook ED of the accused.
The accused was identified as Naeem resident Rataul village. Khekra police station in-charge (SHO) Rakesh Kumar Sharma said on Friday that a complaint was lodged at Khekra police station by a person named Pradeep Chaudhary.
The complainant said that Naeem, a resident of Rataul village, has posted controversial and indecent remarks regarding Lord Shri Ram of Hindu religion from his Facebook ID.
On the complaint of the complainant, a case was registered against the accused under relevant sections of the IPC.
The SHO said that his team traced a post tweeted by social media Facebook. Naeem had made controversial and indecent remarks on Lord Shri Ram of Hindu religion from his Facebook account.
The police raided and arrested the accused Naeem.
The SHO said that the accused Naeem was arrested. A case has been registered against the accused under various sections for disturbing communal harmony and hurting religious sentiments. He said that the accused was produced before the court from where he was sent to judicial custody.
