Massive fire breaks out at shoe factory in Delhi’s Udyog Nagar
New Delhi (IANS). A massive fire broke out at a shoe factory in outer Delhi’s Udyog Nagar on Sunday. According to the fire department, it got information about the incident at around 9 am. After receiving the call, a dozen fire tenders were sent to the spot to douse the fire.
Fire Officer Sarabjit Singh said that this factory, spread over an area of 1100 square yards, is mainly engaged in shoe production.
The fire broke out on the third floor of the factory.
“At present, 12 fire tenders are spraying water from all directions to douse the fire at the earliest. No casualty has been reported so far,” the official said.
Fire officials are hopeful that the fire will be brought under control soon.
