SKRAU’s 37th Foundation Day and Alumni Conference on Tuesday
Swami Keshwanand Rajasthan Agricultural University’s 37th Foundation Day and Alumni Conference will be celebrated on Tuesday at Vidya Mandap of the University.
Student Welfare Director Dr. Veer Singh said that this university was established on August 01, 1987 by separating agriculture and allied faculties from Sukhadia University, Udaipur, then it was named Rajasthan Agricultural University. In honor of Swami Kesavanand’s contribution towards agriculture, education and upliftment of official language, on 09 June 2009, it was renamed as Swami Kesavanand Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner by the Government of Rajasthan. This is the first time after the establishment of the university that the alumni of the Institute of Agriculture, Community Science and Agricultural Management will join together. Vice-Chancellor Dr. Arun Kumar will preside over the function and Dr. Narendra Singh Rathod, former Vice-Chancellor, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur and former Deputy Director General (Agriculture Education), Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi will be the chief guest. On this occasion, the special guest Prof. B. R. Chhipa, Former Vice-Chancellor, Swami Keshwanand Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner. In the program Dr. N.S. Rathore, the first Vice Chancellor Dr. K. N. He will deliver his lecture under the series of lectures organized in the memory of Nag. On this occasion, cultural activities including exhibition of university’s documentary, alumni honor will be organized.
