Three soldiers martyred in Kashmir encounter

Srinagar (IANS). Three soldiers were killed during an encounter between terrorists and security forces in the Halan forest area in the higher reaches of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district. This chanting was given by the officers.

“On receiving information about the presence of terrorists in the higher reaches of Halan in Kulgam, the security forces launched the operation on Friday. Three soldiers were injured and later succumbed to gunfire in the area,” the army said. “

Earlier, a joint team of police and security forces had received inputs about the presence of terrorists.

After the security forces cordoned off the area, the terrorists hiding there opened fire, following which the jawans retaliated and an encounter ensued.
