Tusk elephant mischief, high alert issued in 12 villages
Rajim: Tusk elephant menace continues in Rajim area of Chhattisgarh. It is being told that 2 tusked elephants are still present in Panduka area, who are creating havoc by entering the villages throughout the night. The villagers told that the crops and the vegetables growing in the fences were being harmed.
Both the elephants reached Pod village of Panduka and were seen roaming around. The Forest Department has issued a high alert in 12 nearby villages. Villagers have been instructed not to go to the forest to collect Mahua flowers and wood. Apart from this, the villagers have been prohibited from going towards the forest on motorcycle and on foot. At the same time, the Forest Department is present in the security of the people.
