Muslim’s under-construction house demolished with bulldozer, construction material stolen

Balod. Like Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, and Madhya Pradesh, now in Chhattisgarh too, the tradition of demolishing under-construction houses with bulldozers has started in the presence of officials. Those handling law and order are now becoming mute spectators and helpless in front of the crowd. People are taking law and order into their own hands and the Constitution is being flouted. But the administration remains silent till the cases turn violent. A similar incident has come to the light these days of demolishing an under-construction house of a Muslim in Mujgahan village of Balod tehsil. The construction, which was going on for three months, was razed from Pokeland in spite of being measured by the Patwari in the presence of Thanedar and Tehsildar and having possession and documents.

Now the entire construction material has been taken from the spot by tractor from the spot in broad daylight. Whereas the person of the house under construction who brought bricks, stones, ballast, rods has not been informed about this. First the house was broken into without notice and now the goods have been stolen. Whose information has been given by the Muslim person who constructed the house in a written information to the Balod police. Such an incident has never been seen before in the region and Chhattisgarh. Now the villagers are polluting the environment by putting pressure in the police station and Tehsil, knowing everything, the administration is ignoring the matters and the fire is burning. The crowd is taking decisions and the administration is keeping silent. If this situation continues, it will not take long for a serious situation to develop.
