Electricity system of 27 villages collapsed, memorandum to minister and officials
Raipur. Due to lack of field staff in the Nara sub-centre of the Electricity Department, the electricity system of 27 villages under it has collapsed. There is a shortage of office staff including linemen, this center is running on the basis of the in-charge. When needed, the staff of Chandkhuri and Mandir Hasaud reach out and cooperate to handle the crumbling system. In village Tekari, which comes under this center, the long-running transformer was replaced last Saturday evening.
Manoj Khare, Managing Director of Chhattisgarh University Limited, along with Deputy Chief Minister TS Singhdev, who is handling the responsibility of the Energy Department, SK Verma, Chief Engineer of Rural Area Raipur and Murari Srihari, Executive Engineer of Communication and Maintenance Division, Bhupendra, the coordinator of Kisan Sangharsh Samiti. Sharma sent a memorandum through mail and WhatsApp on Saturday, due to the lack of field staff in this center, mentioning the problems being faced by the consumers of 27 villages coming under it. There has been a demand for posting on the vacant posts without delay.
It has been told in the memorandum that this post is lying vacant since the transfer of the junior engineer posted here about a year ago on promotion. The charge is with the officer posted at Chandkhuri Farm. Similarly, out of these villages divided into 4 sectors for smooth operation of electricity system, the post of lineman is lying vacant in 2 sectors Tekari and Godhi for almost a year. Along with this, a request has been made to fill the posts of personnel lying vacant in the office of this center along with other vacant field staff without any delay.
In the memorandum, a 22-year-old transformer of sector headquarter village Tekari has been running badly for the past several months and even after continuous improvement work, due to lack of permanent improvement in it, half the population of the village is facing problems. That even after the attention of Gram Panchayat Sarpanch Nandkumar Yadav and Regional District Panchayat member Mrs. Lalita Krishna Verma, efforts are being made to repair it and not change it yet. Instead of making futile efforts to repair this transformer in the interest of the consumers, it has been requested to replace it immediately. Here the sarpanch has informed that this faulty transformer has been replaced on Saturday evening itself.
