Civil contractor consumed poison due to non-payment of installment of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, died
Raipur: According to the information received from the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, a false rumor is being spread by some people regarding the death of Mahadev Yadav, a resident of ward no. Consumed poison due to non-receipt of the installment of the scheme. This fact is completely baseless. Neither the house was approved under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in the name of Mahadev Yadav, nor was he supposed to get any installment. Mahadev Yadav was a civil contractor. He used to do the work of construction of houses for the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana under contract. There may be other personal reasons for him to consume poison. It has nothing to do with the installment of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The amount is being paid regularly in installments to the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in the state according to the completion of house construction.
The Panchayat and Rural Development Department has made it clear in its report that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the house is approved and under construction in the name of his wife Lalita Bai Yadav and her mother-in-law Mrs. Jantri Bai Yadav. The house sanctioned in the name of Mahadev Yadav’s wife Lalita Yadav has been completed up to the foundation level. An amount of Rs 56 thousand 531 has been paid to Lalita Yadav on the basis of work last month on July 21 in her bank account.
The work of sanctioned house in the name of Mrs. Jantri Bai Yadav, mother-in-law of Mahadev Yadav, has been done up to the lintel level. For this Jantri Yadav has been paid the first installment of Rs 53 thousand 593 on February 9, 2023 and the second installment of Rs 75 thousand 31 on June 27, 2023, thus a total of Rs 01 lakh 28 thousand 624 has been paid. It has also been mentioned in the report that Mahadev Yadav lived with his mother-in-law in Kaurinbhatha Rajnandgaon and was doing civil contracting work. The incident of Mahodav Yadav’s death by consuming poison has nothing to do with the installment payment of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Linking his death with the issue of installment payment is completely misleading and factless.
