Drone fire brigade will start soon in Raipur
Raipur. If a fire breaks out in the streets of the city or above the tenth floor, it can be easily extinguished. There is a preparation to use drone technology for this. One end of the pipe is attached to the drone, it is set in such a way that it sprays water on it immediately after reaching near the fire. This type of technology is currently being adopted only in big cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Bangalore. This system will soon be included in the disaster management team. In this regard, the officers of the department have also seen the presentation of the companies.
It is being told that the state government has reserved a huge fund to deal with disasters like fire. New hi-tech equipment will be purchased from this fund. Similarly, A triple F foam can be used to extinguish petrol-diesel fire. Apart from this, fire caused by tires or electric wires can also be extinguished by this. This chemical is such that where there is a fire, it is shed like a liquid. The fire goes out as soon as it goes over the fire. This type of chemical is mostly used in industrial areas only. Hence this technique is considered better for industrial sectors. According to the requirement of the fire stations, the city army and the fire department procure such equipment. However, due to lack of major purchases for the last two years, there have been 16 crore laps in 2020-21 and 8 crore laps in 2021-22. This year, the process of its purchase is being done in the budget of 2022-23.
District fire brigades got vehicles To upgrade the fire stations, many collectors across the state have bought new vehicles under the head of disaster management. So far, 2-2 new vehicles have been purchased in Raipur, Balod, Kondagaon and Kanker. These vehicles have been kept in the fire station so that they can be used as and when required. The officers told that the trial and test of all the vehicles have been completed. That’s why these fire stations have been reached. Soon new fire engines will be purchased from this item in many districts. New fire station not built in Urla yet After the formation of Birgaon Municipal Corporation, it is proposed to build a new fire station in Urla. For this, land has also been reserved in Urla, but the work of building the station has not yet started. The budget for the new fire station was also approved during the Chief Minister’s meeting. But due to non-commencement of work on it, vehicles have to be called from Raipur in case of fire anywhere in Birgaon, Urla, Siltara, Dharsinwa. Rural MLA, Mayor and Commissioner of Birgaon Corporation have also made high efforts in this matter several times. But so far no major success has been achieved.
