Puvvada said- Government started various schemes for the welfare of BC
Khammam: Asserting that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is committed to the development of BCs, Transport Minister Ajay Kumar said that the State government is providing Rs one lakh as 100% subsidy to professionals of the community. The BC caste professionals were given Rs 1 lakh on behalf of the BC Welfare Department at the Minster’s camp office in Khammam on Tuesday. As many as 300 people from the BC community will be given Rs 1 lakh in each constituency, the Minister said. The Minister handed out cheques for Rs 1 lakh to the beneficiaries under the scheme. He stated that the Telangana government, led by Chief Minister KCR, is offering several welfare packages to all communities and everyone eligible. He explained that the State government is providing Rs.1 lakh as a grant to the caste professions to help them buy their tools. Officials have identified a total of 14,808 eligible people in the district and they will be provide financial help under the scheme, he informed. The minister asked the beneficiaries to utilise these loans given without any conditions for their business development. At this time every month, steps will be taken to ensure that all the eligible people get these loans. It has been revealed that the government has introduced the Gruha Lakshmi scheme for the poor and those who do not have their own houses, and special counters have been set up in every Tehsildar, Municipal and Collectorate offices in the district to submit applications for this scheme. He said that the government has sanctioned 3,000 houses under Gruha Laxmi scheme for each Assembly constituency. He said that the government has decided to implement the Dalit Bandhu scheme for 1,100 beneficiaries in each Assembly constituency and they will also be sent to the eligible Dalits very soon. He added that they are providing Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bhima to the farmers, insurance to Goudas, Netannas and workers. In addition, they are also providing drinking water through nalla to every house, Lakaram and Munneru RCC Wall district is progressing in all aspects. District Collector VP Gautham said that 1,729 people are eligible in the corporation in Khammam constituency and 550 people in Raghunathapalem mandal. He said that checks will be given to 1,500 people in the district this month against 300 people per constituency in the first phase. Mayor P Neeraja, SUDA Chairman Bachu Vijay Kumar, Additional Collector Abhilash Abhinav, Agriculture Market Committee Chairperson Dorepalli Swetha, District BC Welfare Officer G. Jyoti, City Library Chairman Ashrif, corporators, officers and others participated in the programme.
