Defying the claims of development, the villagers cross the river risking their lives in Dipapara village where the bridge has not yet been constructed. The school children of the area are not able to reach the school on time.
Even after 75 years of independence, neither a road nor a bridge has been built in Sargunabhata Deepapara village, where 200 people from 30 to 40 families are living and no basic facilities are available there, due to which the villagers have a lot of difficulty in commuting. Only trouble happens. In heavy rains, communication from one village to another gets cut off.
Children’s education also gets at stake. Small children going to Anganwadi and school children studying in middle and high school also risk their lives on this river by crossing the raw bridge made of bamboo and go to school in other villages. The villagers here always have the fear that some untoward incident might happen to their children and them while crossing the river.
