1 lakh helped, will remove the darkness of poverty from the life of visually impaired couple
Raipur. Due to lack of light in his eyes and darkness of poverty in his life, Chandrakant of village Amandala used to think that his life would be spent in such darkness. He was very worried about his future. When he married a blind girl, Dilip Kumari, a new light of happiness shone in Chandrakant’s life. Apart from getting Dilip Kumari as a life partner, she also got an assistance of one lakh rupees from the Government through the Social Welfare Department under the Disabled People’s Marriage Promotion Scheme.
To make their life better and to stand on their feet, the visually impaired couple has thought of doing some business with this amount. Chandrakant told that we get a different self-strength by encouraging the government by giving money to the disabled couple. He told that now he works to teach Brainscript. He will make good use of the amount of one lakh and will get rid of some debt by repaying it. There was a smile on their faces when Chief Guest Mallikarjun Kharge and Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel along with other guests handed over a check of one lakh to the blind couple at the Bharose Sammelan organized in Janjgir-Champa district today.
