On the occasion of the upcoming Independence Day, from the point of view of law and security in the city, before the Independence Day, Inspector General of Police Raipur Range Ratanlal Dangi and Senior Superintendent of Police Prashant Agarwal, all the traffic staff including the gazetted officers, police station in-charges, along with the entire Raipur city From the point of view of law and security system in the district, it was directed to check all the public places and all the vehicles like hotel, dhaba, laj, bus stand, railway station etc. at night.

In the sequence, on the night of 13-14 August 2023, under the leadership of all the gazetted officers of Raipur district, all the station in-charge and traffic staff, by placing traffic points at a total of 8 places in the city, intensive checking of all the vehicles was done. Strict action was taken against the vehicles being driven against. Action under Section 185 MV Act has been taken against more than 30 drivers after testing them with Breath Analyser against Drunken Driving. Suspicious vehicles/persons have been identified during checking and directed to the concerned police station for action against them. During this time, more than 100 vehicles are running against the rules, summons charges have been collected, along with some overloaded and crackers with silencers, a case has been prepared to be presented in the Honorable Court for advance action. The action is going on continuously. .
