Elephant trampled the villager in the field, death
Baloda Bazar. Today, a villager working in the field died due to elephant attack in Kushgarh of Balodabazar Arjuni range. On the other hand, another person is injured, who has been sent by the forest department team to Raipur for treatment. Giving information about the incident, Forest Officer Mayank Agarwal said, today at around 10.30 am, information was received that Govardhan Satnami, who was working in the field in village Kushgarh under Arjuni forest area, died due to elephant attack. Another person Ghurau Sahu has also been injured by the elephant. As soon as the information was received, the forest staff immediately reached the spot and sent the injured to Raipur after first aid.
The dead body has been sent for postmortem. 25 thousand rupees have been given as immediate assistance to the family of the deceased. He told that there is only one elephant there, which has deviated from the herd and came on the way to Mahasamund. The Forest Officer has appealed to the villagers not to go near the elephant. Keep children especially alert. Forest staff is monitoring the elephant.
