Tourists flocking to the highest waterfall Nambi

Bastar. Bastar’s highest Nambi waterfall is buzzing with tourists. Within just two days, more than three hundred tourists came to see the beauty of Nambi Falls closely. For convenience, the youth of Nambi village have also formed a committee. The entry fee is fixed at Rs 100 per person. Since Sunday is a weekly holiday, more than 150 tourists gathered at the waterfall. For the first time, when in the most sensitive Nambi village of Usur block of Bijapur, without any hesitation, fearless tourists registered an influx. In a track of about two and a half km from the village, one can reach the waterfall by passing small and big stones, rocks and wild vines, bamboo clumps under the waterfall.

The entry fee slip is being deducted before the track by the committee. After reaching some distance by bike, there is arrangement for bike parking. Nambi Falls is about 60 km away from Bijapur district headquarter. To reach Nambi village, one can reach Nambi village after crossing Bijapur to Awapalli, then Usoor and Galgam. Till the last few months there was neither road nor security force camp till Nambi village. As a result, this area was under the influence of Naxalites, due to which it was not possible for the tourists to reach here.
