Telugu actor Adivi Shesh said, “India is in our heart”
New Delhi (IANS). Telugu actor Adivi Sesh shared his memories of Independence Day. He told how he used to celebrate Independence Day in his childhood in California, USA.
Hyderabad-born actor Adivi Shesh was brought up in Berkeley, California, US.
Talking about his childhood memories of Independence Day, the 38-year-old actor told IANS: “My childhood in California was full of Independence Day celebrations. August 15 was a way for us to connect with our roots. We call it ‘Mela’. We used to celebrate this day by dancing and dancing. We had our own different idea on what India means.
He said, “In America we were not attached to anything Indian, India was only in our hearts.”
Adivi Shesh said, “India is my motherland with which I am trying to connect.”
He said, “I often wondered what India is. Is India in its borders? In its religions? In its villages? Then I realized that India is an emotion.
Adivi Shesh played the lead role in the action drama film ‘Major’ directed by Kiran Tikka. Whose story is written by Adivi Shesh. The film focuses on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan who was killed in the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
The actor also said that he is greatly inspired by historical figures. He said that John F. Kennedy once said in his speech “Don’t ask what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country”. His words inspired me a lot.
The actor has also featured in ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’. He said that he is a part of several programs that address issues like animal welfare, water scarcity, plastic pollution etc. in the country.
He added, “Although our country is so vast that no matter what we do it never seems to be enough.”
The actor’s last film was the 2022 Telugu crime thriller ‘HIT: The Second Case’. Meenakshi Chowdhary and Rao Ramesh were also in the film. The actor will next be seen in ‘Goodachari 2’.
