SUV drags bike over 100 metres, one dead
Panaji: An SUV driver dragged the two-wheeler for over 100 meters in Porvorim, Goa. The bike rider died in the accident. Police has arrested the accused driver. Police told that this incident happened on Monday night. Giving information about the case, the police said that Harshit Tamarkar, a 21-year-old driver of Mahindra Thar from Porvorim-Goa, has been arrested in this connection. Police said that the car driver was driving rashly and recklessly while on his way from Mapusa to Panaji.
When the car reached near Porvorim, it hit the Honda Dio. The car dragged the Honda Dio for over 100 metres. Police has arrested the Thar driver. The two-wheeler driver, Surjeet Kohle, 28, a resident of West Bengal, sustained injuries on his head and other parts of the body, police said. The injured was immediately admitted for treatment at Goa Medical College- Bambolim, where he died during treatment. While Ashok Bosu sitting behind the two wheeler has also suffered serious injuries.
