Ex-BDO of Odisha arrested from Delhi, was absconding since 8 years

New Delhi/Koraput: An ex-BDO of Koraput district in Odisha has been arrested by the Odisha vigilance from Delhi on Monday, said reports.

The tainted ex-BDO has been identified as Ramesh Chandra Sahoo. He was the ex-BDO of Narayanpatnain Koraput district of Odisha.

He was wanted in as many as seven corruption cases and was absconding for the last eight years (since 2015).

The ex-BDO has been nabbed by Odisha vigilance from New Delhi today. He shall be produced in Delhi court to bring him on transit remand to Odisha.

During the last eight years, he kept changing locations residing in rental accommodations in Delhi and neighboring areas.

He also absconded to Jorhat, Assam, to evade arrest. Recently, he returned to Delhi from Assam. Based on inputs, a team was stationed to pinpoint his location, after which he was nabbed today.
