Cash 3 lakh 60 thousand stolen in liquor shop by piercing the wall
Bilaspur: By burglarizing a liquor shop in Bilaspur, miscreants crossed Rs 3 lakh 60 thousand. Even the guard posted in the security didn’t even get a clue of it. When the thieves made a tunnel in the wall from behind, the guard was fast asleep outside. The theft was discovered the next day when the employees reached the shop. Police is investigating by registering a case in the matter. The incident is of Civil Line police station area.
A country liquor shop is being run by the Excise Department in Mangla, where liquor is sold by supervisors and salesmen. Here Tarachand Sahu (37), a resident of Mohra, is the supervisor. He told the police on Monday that he lives in a rented house in Sai Nagar of Uslapur. On Sunday night at around 10.15 pm, he closed the liquor shop and went to his home. During this, guards Pradeep Kenwat and Deepak Jangde were deployed in the shop for security.
He told the police that when he reached the shop on Monday and opened the lock and went inside, he found that there was a big hole in the back wall. The sale amount of Rs 3 lakh 60 thousand kept in the counter was found missing. He questioned the guard, who then denied having any knowledge. The police investigated the shop on his complaint, after registering a case of theft, interrogated the guard and started the investigation.
