North Korea: North Korea had kept the border closed since 2020 due to the severe corona pandemic. Now North Korea is going to end this strictness. State media reported on Sunday that citizens living abroad have been allowed to re-enter the country.
North Korea had imposed several strict laws to overcome the disease during the Corona epidemic, out of which sealing the border was one. The State Emergency Epidemic Prevention Headquarters announced that “citizens abroad have been allowed to return home”, local media KCNA said, according to news agency AFP.
The report released by North Korea states that all people who have returned from abroad will be kept under proper medical supervision in quarantine wards for one week. The released report said that the decision was made “in the context of the easing of the pandemic situation worldwide”.
North Korea will open the border for those living abroad
