Online fraud of 3 lakhs, cyber team started investigation
Raipur: In Gudhiyari area of the city, Rs 2.80 lakh was stolen in two cases of online fraud in a span of ten days. According to the police, Rakesh Sahu (50), a resident of Gudiyari near Naya Talab, lodged the report. He had taken a credit of Rs 100 from Rakesh’s Paytm on three days from 17-19 August between 5.30 pm to 11 pm. Contacted the holder of phone no.93609 70889 through customer care to talk about this. On getting Rakesh’s number, the accused downloaded Annie Desk and withdrew Rs 198,900 from his Bank of Baroda account in 13 times.
In the second case, Hemant Sahu (29), a resident of Bajrang Chowk, Chhota Ramnagar, received a call from the holder of phone number 9958280628 between 5-6 pm on July 26. He called himself the staff of Yes Bank and informed about the removal of health insurance from Hemant’s account benefit. And asked for account number. By sending OTP on it, 98 thousand rupees were crossed from the account to the credit card. In both the cases, the cyber team has started investigation by registering a case of 420 on the report of the victims last evening.
