Raipur: Accused Shubham Gupta has been arrested with banned drug tablets. According to the information, the police received information that a person is keeping banned intoxicating tablets behind the Kali Mata Temple located in Loco Colony under Gudhiyari police station area and is looking for a customer to sell them. On which Additional Superintendent of Police City/Crime Abhishek Maheshwari and City Superintendent of Police Urla Avinash Mishra verified the information and directed the police station incharge Gudhiyari to catch the accused red handed with banned intoxicating tablets.
On which, under the leadership of Police Station Incharge Gudhiyari, the Gudhiyari police team went to the said place and identified and arrested the person of the description described by the informer. During interrogation, the person revealed his name to be Shubham Gupta resident of Gudhiyari Raipur. When the team members searched him, he was found to be in possession of banned intoxicating tablets. When Shubham Gupta was asked to produce valid documents or other documents in connection with the possession of the said banned intoxicating tablet, he was continuously trying to mislead the team by not presenting any valid document or papers of any kind. On which the accused Shubham Gupta was arrested and a total of 290 pieces of banned narcotic tablet Nitrosan 10 Jumla worth about Rs 6,000/- were seized from his possession and action was taken against the accused by registering crime number 375/2023 under section 22(b) of Narcotics Act in Gudhiyari police station.
