Conspiracy to terrorize India failed, police achieved great success

Chandigarh: Punjab Police has achieved a big success. Punjab Police’s Anti Gangster Task Force has arrested six ISI sympathizers. All of them were in contact with terrorist Harinder Singh Rinda sitting in Pakistan. 20 cartridges and five pistols have been recovered from them. This is the third ISI-backed group caught in August. Earlier on August 15, two gangs were caught. Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav gave this information. The aim of the accused was to carry out a big incident which created sensation in Punjab.

Punjab Gaurav Yadav informed that 6 associates associated with Harvinder Singh alias Rinda gang have been arrested. These accused had carried out the double murder in Patiala in April 2023, since then this gang was absconding. The arrested accused were still planning to commit any murder, most of which were target killings.

He was associated with the terrorist Harvinder Singh Rinda group who fled from Punjab to Pakistan and was carrying out terrorist incidents in Punjab at his behest. Police came to know about this gang during the investigation of double murder in Patiala. A case has been registered against the accused in Mohali police station of Anti Gangster Task Force. The accused will be presented in the court and remand will be taken.

Pro-Khalistan slogans on the walls of metro stations

Delhi Police has arrested one person and detained another for writing pro-Khalistan slogans on the walls of four metro stations in the national capital, ahead of the G20 summit. Officials gave this information on Thursday. Police told a press conference here that the accused carried out this act on the instructions of Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, leader of the banned organization Sikh for Justice (SFJ). Police said that the arrested accused has been identified as Preetpal while the detained person has been identified as Rajvinder Singh. He said that he will be arrested as soon as he reaches Delhi from Punjab. Slogans in support of Khalistan were found written on the walls of Delhi’s Shivaji Park, Madipur, Paschim Vihar, Udyog Nagar and Maharaja Surajmal Stadium metro stations on August 27. Slogans like ‘Delhi Banega Khalistan’ and ‘Khalistan Zindabad’ were written in these.

The wall of a government school in Nangloi was also found defaced. A purported video released by banned organization Sikh for Justice (SFJ) showed defaced walls of metro stations. In a video, Pannu was heard saying, “G20 countries, when you meet in Delhi on September 10, we will be organizing the Khalistan referendum in Canada.”
