Girl Stabbed, Dragged By Group Of Men In Uttarakhand’s Ibrahimpur
In a heinous incident of crime against women in Uttarakhand, a group of men stabbed a girl multiple times, then tied her scarf around her neck to drag her.
The victim identified as Yamini Chauhan – daughter of one Prithvi Singh Chauhan, is a resident of Ibrahimpur Sainik Colony, Uttarakhand.
The incident took place when Yamini came out of Rohtapur village at 7:00 pm on August 30 after taking tuition. She stopped, after realising that the tyre of her scooter was deflated.
Before she could seek help, accused Pankaj Rawat, a resident of Rohtapur, along with two other accomplices, with the intention of killing Yamini, attcked her. Then he stabbed Yamini and dragged her around, tying a piece of cloth around her neck.
Despite sustaining critical injuries, Yamini crawled to the same house she left from after taking tuitions. The owners of the house informed Yamini’s family members and rushed her to the Hospital.
She is critically injured and undergoing treatment. An FIR has been registered under section 307, 341 and 354 of Indian Penal Code.
Notably, Yamini had filed a complaint against Pankaj Rawat in PGI Lucknow Police Station prior to this incident.
