Odisha MLA turns Good Samaritan, stops vehicle to carry unconscious student to hospital for treatment
Berhampur: Kabisuryangar MLA Latika Pradhan turned a Good Samaritan for a student who was lying on the road unconscious at Beguniapada village in Odisha’s Ganjam district and needed immediate medical attendance.
According to reports, the Kabisuryangar MLA was going to Kodala area of the district from Saurachachina village for some official work. When she reached Beguniapada village, the legislator asked her driver to stop the vehicle after noticing a school girl lying on the road unconscious near a filling station.
Soon, Latika Pradhan got down the vehicle to inquiry about the student. After realizing that the minor girl needed medical treatment, she carried her to the Kodala hospital in her four-wheeler immediately. She also directed the doctor of the hospital to provide better treatment to the student.
Meanwhile, people of the area hailed the Kabisuryangar MLA for her act of kindness and help to the students despite her busy schedule. Some residents also claimed that some unfortunate incident might have taken place if the MLA would not have helped the girl. There is no doubt that the on-time intervention of Pradhan saved the student’s life, said the locals.
