43 boxes of liquor seized from home, worth Rs 2 lakh 50 thousand

Surguja: Excise department and police team have got great success on illegal liquor business. The team raided a house and seized 387 liters of Madhya Pradesh liquor. Whose price is said to be around Rs 2.5 lakh. The accused involved in illegal liquor business has been arrested and sent to jail. This matter is of Darima police station area.

According to the information, Divisional Flying Squad Division Surguja and District Surguja Excise Team received information about illegal liquor business from the informer. On information, a raid was conducted at the house of Krishna Kumar Semaria of Parsodhi village under Thana Darima. During this, 43 boxes (2150 pav) of Madhya Pradesh’s Goa liquor 387 liters were seized from his house. The market value of the seized liquor boxes is around Rs 250,000. The accused has been arrested under sections 34(2) and 59(a) and 36 of the Chhattisgarh Excise Act and sent to jail.
