Pangolin’s entry created panic in the village, forest department was called

Dhamtari: Most part of Chhattisgarh is covered with forests. In such a situation, wild creatures often enter people’s homes in forest areas. One such incident happened on Wednesday in Sihawa of Dhamtari. A rare pangolin entered the house in Bhitaras Sihawa village of Sihawa area, seeing which the villagers got scared. The forest department was informed.

As soon as the news of pangolin entering the house spread in the whole village, the whole village thronged to see it. Meanwhile, the villagers informed the forest department. The team of Dhamtari Forest Department immediately reached the spot and rescued and caught the pangolin. The forest department has left this pangolin safe in the Sitanadi Tiger Reserve area.

Most of the pangolins are smuggled in the world. Pangolin is a wild animal found in mountainous or light plain areas of India, Bhutan, Nepal and Sri Lanka. In India it is also known as Sallu snake. This is a rare species of creature. Which lives in the dense forest and is on the verge of extinction. It is mostly found in Asia and Africa. Due to its value in the international market in crores of rupees, pangolin is heavily smuggled.
