Dead body of teenager recovered in canal, was student of class 8
Janjgir-Champa: A minor who had come to take bath with his friends in Hasdev Bango canal of the district last evening was washed away in the strong current of the canal. Since the incident, SDRF and police teams were busy searching for the minor. Where Nitish Tiwari’s body was recovered 14 hours after the incident. The child’s body has been sent for post-mortem. This accident happened in the big canal of Janjgir Navagarh.
According to the information, three friends had gone to bathe in the big canal of Nawagarh. Two friends were standing above the canal and then Nitish Tiwari (age 14) resident of Bazar Para Janjgir entered the water to take a bath. Nitish Tiwari got swept away in the strong current of water after his feet slipped while bathing. One of his friends tried to save his friend who was drifting in the canal but due to the current he did not succeed and started pleading for help. On getting the information about the incident, the people around started searching. At the same time, the police team had also called a diver to search for the minor.
After the incident, the City Kotwali police and the SDRF team were continuously engaged in searching for the minor. With his efforts, 14 hours after the incident in the morning, Nitish Tiwari’s body was found near Dhurkot Bhaisada Bridge Minor. Police have sent the body for post-mortem after conducting Panchnama. It is being told that the deceased Nitish Tiwari was studying in class VIII of Swami Atmanand School, Janjgir.
