Raipur: Taking the idol of Mata Kaushalya from the holy soil of Ayodhya
Raipur: For the first time Mata Kaushalya is coming to her maternal home Chandkhuri to celebrate Teeja, for which Chhattisgarh’s famous folk artists Dr. Purushottam Chandrakar and Narendra Yadav had gone to Ayodhya to celebrate Teeja. Chakravarti Maharaja Dasaratha went to the palace after taking a bath in the Saryu river. After receiving permission from Maharaja Dashrath, the priest Bhagwan Das ji provided the holy soil by law, with which the artist came to Raipur, at Raipur railway station, director of Chitrotpala Lok Kala Parishad Raipur and coordinator of the program, Rakesh Tiwari, culture worker Ashok Tiwari and artist fraternity. A grand welcome, worship, worship was done by. After this, the sculptor Peelu Ram Sahu was requested to make the statue of Kaushalya Mata. The idol of Maa Kaushalya is being brought, Lord Ram is sitting in the lap of the mother in the form of a child, the sculptors are preparing the idol, now it will be colored. Giving information about the progress of idol making, senior folk artist and organizer of Chhattisgarh, Rakesh Tiwari said that the idol of Mata Kaushalya is being brought, now it will be filled with color and decorated with traditional Chhattisgarhi costumes and jewellery.
Mata Kaushalya will wear Kosthaunha Lugra, and will wear Kakani, Nagmori, Surra, Suta, Kardhan, Uchthi, Kada, etc. in other ornaments.
The idol, which is being made from the holy soil brought from Ayodhya, is now taking shape. Culturalist Ashok along with Rakesh Tiwari, the coordinator of Kaushalya Mata Sang Teeja Tihar program and director of Chitrotpala Lok Kala Parishad, near famous sculptor Peelu Ram Sahu, who is making the idol. Tiwari and co-coordinator senior folk artist Dr. Purushottam Chandrakar went to village Nimora and met sculptor Peelu Ram Sahu to inquire about the progress of idol construction and also expressed gratitude to him. After the statue is ready, Maa Kaushalya will sit at Chandkhuri’s famous Pandwani singer Prabha Yadav’s house on September 15. Such a historic event is happening for the first time in the history of Chhattisgarh.
