Good start for the stock market, Sensex crossed 66,800 and Nifty reached near 20 thousand.
The stock market had a great start on Monday. Both Sensex and Nifty are seeing a rise during the opening itself. Sensex is trading above 66,800, up 208.82 points or 0.31 percent. Nifty was trading at 19,890, up 70.05 points or 0.35 percent. Apart from this, Bank Nifty had a gain of 0.32 percent and was trading at 45,300.15. On the first day of the week, the Sensex opened at 66,807.73, whose highest level so far is 66,835.16 and lowest level is 66,735.84. Whereas Nifty opened at 19,774.80 and till now the maximum level was 19,867.15 while the minimum level was 19,727.05.
27 Sensex stocks rose
Of the top 30 Sensex stocks, 27 were trading in the green. HCL shares saw the highest rise of 1.26 per cent and were trading at Rs 1,277.95 per share. Apart from this, SBI, Maruti, TCS, Wipro, Asian Paint, Tata Motors, Nestle India, Axis Bank, Sun Pharma, Mahindra & Mahindra, Reliance Industries, Hindustan Unilever, AT, UltraTech Cement, Tech Mahindra, HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Shares JSW Steel, Bajaj Fins, ITC, Power Grid, Titan, ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel and Tata Steel also rose.
Decline in these three stocks
Out of 30 Sensex shares, only three are falling, out of which Bajaj Finance shares have fallen the most. It fell 0.05 percent to Rs 7,405.70 per share. At the same time, shares of NTPC and IndusInd Bank also declined.
Decline only in this sector
Growth also continues in all sectors of the stock market. The biggest jump was in the PSU banking sector of 1.86 percent, which is trading at 4,793.85. Sectors such as private banking, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, media, financial services and healthcare continue to grow. Only the consumer sector declined by 0.10 percent.
