Bihar: Soldier dies while on duty in Nawada, negligence of officers exposed
The death of a Home Guard jawan while on duty in Nawada has raised a big question. Let us tell you that there is chaos in the family due to the death of the Home Guard jawan. At the same time, a fellow Home Guard jawan is also inconsolable. Along with this, there is anger among the people regarding the arrangements of departmental officers. Actually, the Home Guard jawan posted in the Excise Department died while on duty. After which, apart from Excise Superintendent Anil Kumar Azad and Home Guard DSP, other officials also reached the check post and took detailed information about the case.
What do colleagues say?
Arvind Kumar, the colleague of the deceased home guard, said that Shravan Kumar was ill for the last three days. He also said that on Sunday evening he had complained of fever and stomach ache, for which his colleagues had brought him medicines etc. Went to sleep after having food and medicine at around 10 pm on Sunday night. His duty was from 6 o’clock on Monday morning, due to which when his colleagues went to wake up the home guard jawan, he did not wake up. When examined, there was no sign of his breathing or heartbeat. The home guard jawan probably died due to illness. After the death, SI Pintu Kumar and the family members of the deceased were informed. After which there was chaos in the entire family.
Police chief accused of negligence
Check post in-charge Product SI Pintu Kumar called on government and private mobile numbers to inform the police station head cum inspector Pawan Kumar about the death of the home guard jawan, but he did not receive the call. There was anger among the personnel posted at the check post regarding this. He says that if the matter was more serious than this, how would we have been able to take the help of the police force.

There is a lot of filth around the Home Guard barrack located at the check post. Due to which the climate there is polluted and there is a possibility of spread of diseases like malaria and dengue. Due to this, the personnel posted at the check post often fall ill. Deceased Home Guard Shravan Kumar may have also become a victim of this. He died due to lack of proper treatment.
