Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has given a big statement regarding the inauguration of Ayodhya Ram Temple. Addressing a program in Jalgaon, 400 km from Mumbai, on Sunday, he said that an incident like the Godhra incident could happen at the time of the inauguration of the Ram temple.
Uddhav Thackeray said there is a possibility that the government may invite a large number of people in buses and trucks from here for the inauguration of Ram Temple and a Godhra-like incident may occur on their return journey.
Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that some people have forgotten the ideology of their party in the greed for power. When Anurag Thakur was asked to comment on Uddhav’s statement, he said, “I don’t know if Balasaheb (late founder of Shiv Sena and father of Uddhav Thackeray) would have been thinking today, what would Uddhav ji be thinking in the greed for power. What are you doing.”

This controversy has come to light at a time when BJP leaders have left no stone unturned to corner Indian leaders over Udhayanidhi Stalin’s statement on Sanatan Dharma. Anurag Thakur also condemned the silence of Uddhav Thackeray and Rahul Gandhi on Udhayanidhi’s statement in which he had said that Sanatan Dharma is like dengue and malaria and needs to be eradicated. In the Sanatan controversy, Indian parties were divided on whether to support Udhayanidhi’s statement or not. Uddhav’s party leader Sanjay Raut did not support Udhayanidhi’s statement, but Uddhav has not said anything on this controversy.
It is noteworthy that on February 27, 2002, ‘Karsevaks’ (Sangh Parivar’s term for the volunteers participating in the Ram Mandir movement) returning from Ayodhya by Sabarmati Express were attacked at Godhra station in Gujarat and their train coach was set on fire. It was given, due to which many people died. Large-scale riots broke out throughout the state.
