Iran summoned Australian ambassador

TEHRAN: Iran’s Foreign Ministry summoned Australia’s envoy to Tehran in protest over “interfering” comments by Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong. This information was given by the media. The Australian diplomat was summoned to the Iranian Foreign Ministry on Wednesday in the absence of Ambassador Lyndall Sachs and informed of the Australian Foreign Minister’s “volatile comments” and Iran’s “strong protest” against Australia’s new ‘anti-Tehran’ sanctions.
