20 percent poor are suffering the most from back-breaking inflation: Kharge
New Delhi (IANS). Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Friday took a dig at the BJP-led central government on the issue of inflation and said that the poorest 20 percent of the population is facing the brunt of back-breaking inflation.
In a tweet in Hindi, the Congress president said, “Modi ji wants to divert public attention from ‘looting by inflation’ by talking here and there.
He said, “Due to the plunder of the Modi government, the poorest 20% are bearing the brunt of the back-breaking inflation. “The prices of food items are skyrocketing and the country has now realized that the only reason for their troubles is the BJP.”
He said that in the coming elections, the public will definitely take revenge for this loot by teaching a lesson to the BJP.
The Congress leader said, “On the issue of inflation – Bharat will join, ‘India’ will win!”
He also shared graphics with CRISIL research report and retail inflation data for August to support his claims.
